About Us: Established in 2003, 4S India is a now a PAN India organization working on Ultra Poor in 5 states including West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha. About 75% of the intervention population belongs to SC, ST, PVTG & Maha Dalits covering 940 revenue villages across 21 districts. The organization works on the thematic area of Responsible Livelihoods, Institutional Development Services, Agribusiness Development Services, Financial Inclusion Services, Natural Resource Management, Preventive health & nutrition, Women, Rights & Entitlements, Disaster Management and Climate change and Action Research & Studies. We're on a mission to create a sustainable and harmonious coexistence between humanity and the environment.
Responsibilities: As a Natural Resource Management Expert at Sarva Sewa Samity Sanstha, you will:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive natural resource management strategies.
  • Conduct assessments to identify potential resource conservation opportunities and mobilize Govt. schemes for NRM structures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and execute resource conservation projects.
  • Provide expert guidance and hand holding to community on sustainable practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Educate stakeholders and the community on the importance of natural resource conservation.
  • Analyze data and trends to recommend innovative solutions for resource management.
  • Take lead role in micro watershed planning for the intervention area and grooming water change makers
Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in natural resource management, including project planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, history of working using convergence model.
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental conservation.
