Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Programme Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging with local communities, facilitating outreach programs, and coordinating initiatives aimed at sustainable water and natural resources management, as well as livelihood development in the Rapar and Khadir region (Bhachau block) of Kutch region. This position requires the person to be based on-site
Key Responsibilities:
a. Community Mobilization:
⢠Identify and engage with local communities, including marginalized groups and stakeholders, to build trust and rapport.
⢠Conduct awareness campaigns, workshops, and meetings to educate communities about water and natural resources management and sustainable livelihood practices.
⢠Foster a sense of ownership and participation among community members in project activities.
⢠Initiate, Build and Strengthen social processes around the different project intervention related to water and natural resources management and sustainable livelihood practices
b. Programme Coordination:
⢠Develop, implement, and manage project plans related to water and natural resources management, as well as livelihood development.
⢠Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within the specified timeline and budget.
⢠Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying and addressing challenges as they arise.
c. Capacity Building:
⢠Provide training and capacity-building sessions to community members on sustainable resource management techniques, income-generating activities, and relevant skills.
⢠Facilitate workshops and training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of local partners and project beneficiaries.
d. Data Collection and Reporting:
⢠Design baseline survey, implement the baseline surveys, conduct data analysis and prepare project plans
⢠Prepare Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework (MEL) with output, outcomes based on the Log Frame of the projects
⢠Gather relevant data, conduct surveys, and maintain accurate records of project activities and community engagement.
⢠Prepare regular progress reports, impact assessments, and success stories for donors and stakeholders.
e. Networking and Collaboration:
f. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local government agencies, other NGOs, and relevant stakeholders to leverage resources and support for the project.
g. Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and forums related to water, natural resources, and livelihood development.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, rural development, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience in community mobilization, program coordination, or related work in the development sector.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
4. Knowledge of water and natural resources management, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood development practices
5. Proficiency in Gujarati and English.
6. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Willingness to travel within the region and work in challenging field conditions.
