About TLMTI:
The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) established in 1874, is the largest Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in India, working with persons affected by leprosy, disability, and other marginalized communities for over 143 years, in the areas of health, education, sustainable livelihoods, community development, advocacy and communication, research and training. TLMTI has 14 hospitals, 6 Vocational Training Institutes, a state-of-the-art Research Laboratory, 5 small residential facilities (Snehalayas) for the care of elderly people who are disabled due to leprosy, and community-based development projects across 9 states in the country. TLMTI also supports the National Leprosy Eradication Program.
Role Summary:
Under the direction of Head- Knowledge Management, performs duties to support the research process by providing technical assistance and expertise in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments or studies.
Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:
⢠Research activities: Collaborating with researchers: RTOs work closely with researchers to understand their needs and provide technical expertise and support throughout the research process.
⢠Documentation and reporting: RTOs document experimental procedures, results, and findings in reports and presentations, and may contribute to scientific publications or patents.
⢠Compliance with regulations and standards: RTOs must ensure that all research activities are conducted in compliance with ethical, regulatory, and safety standards.
Qualifications, skills, and capacities:
⢠A suitable candidate with Master's or Ph.D. in a social science discipline (e.g., sociology, psychology, anthropology) or a related field with a focus on health or healthcare.
⢠Work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize their workload effectively. Additionally, they should be familiar with the latest research techniques, tools, and technologies in their field, and be able to adapt quickly to new developments.
