Last week I had a chat with UN-DFS, we are running a roster campaign together to build rosters of applicants for field missions in Middle East. Out of the list of eligible applicants, only 25-30 % are women. Being a women combined with working knowledge in Arabic, Advanced degree, resilience to go where the need is the most + 5 years of professional experience is probably the best ticket you can get if you want to pursue a career in a prestigious NGO or at the UN.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is sourcing candidates with language skills in Amharic, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, Pashto and Somali. Their role will be to work as interpreters for the ICRC in their dialogue with detainees, with authorities and other interlocutors in the field. United Nationa Volunteer (UNV) programme recruits Programe Officers (PO) to the UNV PO pool (Apply by 15 August)
The United Nations Volunteer Programme Officers (UNV PO) are the senior country level representatives with the goal to ensure and deliver key results of the UNV Strategic Framework.
