The International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is now embarking on its programmatic activities in Mexico by strengthening the capacity of police institutions. At this stage, IDLO is looking for 5 profiles. This is a unique chance to be part of an important programme from its early stage to support the modernizing of the justice and security system in Mexico. The programme has great potential to grow large and therefore we are excited to share this opportunity with our members!

The IDLO Mexico programme will focus on capacity development in three areas;

  1. training for preventive police at the municipal level;
  2. enhance the knowledge and skills of first responders to improve their performance in the criminal process and;
  3. address the capacity of procedural police at the state level to ensure adequate implementation of the criminal justice system.

Besides the minimum relevant years of professional experiences, eligible candidates should have the following skills and competencies:

  • Strong professional oral and writing skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strategic direction, planning and management skills
  • Program oversight and coordination skills
  • Resources Management skills
  • Keen sense of ethics, integrity, credibility, and commitment to IDLO’s mandate
