UNFPA seeks candidates for their innovative Leadership Pool initiative. As a candidate you can apply for one or more job types. You will be competing for each pool and if your profile application is among the top candidates you will participate in a comprehensive assessment process (Assessment Center). At the Assessment Center you will be evaluated in a series of observable exercises and scenarios. The purpose of the assessment is to replicate real situations that an individual would encounter in a specific leadership role, and where the solution requires both technical knowledge and managerial judgment in a multicultural context. If successful in that assessment you will become a member of UNFPA’s Leadership Pool.

Candidates are encouraged to apply for all job types for which they are qualified and interested in being assessed for. After being evaluated and found ready for one or more Leadership Pool job types, Pool members will benefit from individualized career advice and provision of tailored development opportunities to enhance the preparedness/readiness to assume leadership posts at UNFPA. When rotational post vacancies arise in a particular job type, Pool members who were assessed as ready for that job type will be contacted and invited to indicate their interest in being selected for the vacancy.
During the course of their service at UNFPA, international rotational staff are expected to serve in a variety of functions and locations including hardship and non-family duty stations.
