The World Food Programme (WFP)'s Future International Talent (FIT) Pool seeks to build a pool of highly qualified, dynamic professionals of all levels who wish to work in any of WFP’s countries of operation, including emergency duty stations.

Professionals, at any point in their career, who are looking for new challenges serving a humanitarian purpose are welcome to join the WFP family and give their contribution to the achievement of Zero Hunger.

"The people we serve don't need average. They need extraordinary".

Are you ready to take your career to the international level in Human Resources? Are you mobile, and ready to support WFPs employees around the Globe in moving this world toward a world with zero hunger? If so, this is your opportunity to join the FIT Pool. The Human Resources Officer manages the delivery of professional, client-focused Human Resources (HR) services, partnering with senior managers to contribute to the implementation of HR solutions in line with WFP corporate priorities.

Minimum requirements:

  • University degree from a UN-recognized academic institution. Find out more here. *Should you not find your university degree in this link, a formal letter from your Ministry of Education stating their recognition of the university and degree should suffice.
  • Relevant professional experience in the functional area you are interested in applying for.
Years of experience and other requirements may differ among levels (Junior to Senior Level) and functional areas. Before applying, be sure you meet all requirements needed for the role you are interested in.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and an intermediate level of a second UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or Portuguese.

  • Mobility is the essence of WFP and continues to be a core contractual requirement to work in any WFP country of operation, including emergency duty stations from 2 to 4 years.

An effective pool consists of mobile talents. Show proof of mobility — that you are flexible when it comes to changing locations!

When applying for the FIT Pool, you are agreeing to commit yourself to being mobile. Since WFP is mainly a field-based organization, most positions are in the field and require a certain amount of adaptability and resilience. In addition, most positions are rotational, which means that every four years (or two years for hardship/emergency duty stations) staff members are subject to relocation.

One way to show commitment and readiness is to list any type of international experience in regional and sub-regional locations, including any humanitarian work experience.
