Welcome to the Career site of the Initiative for Climate Action and Development (ICAD) at Impactpool!

Initiative for Climate Action and Development (ICAD) is a registered (registration number TR/INC7650) Malawian non-profit making and non-governmental Organization.

ICAD seeks to resolve the development challenges that confront marginalized and vulnerable rural and peri-urban communities as a result of climate change. 

ICAD programmes aim to support communities through a compendium of participatory, evidence-based sustainable and innovative approaches. Our core programming approaches include 

1. Human Rights Based Approach to Development (HRBAD) and
2. Community-based Participation.

 Our work strives to contribute to the attainment of the three major international and Malawi governments development agendas:

1. COP21 Paris agreement
2. Sendai framework for Disaster Risk Reduction
3. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 ICAD’s Vision is Malawi in which marginalized and vulnerable groups  

1. Are resilient to the impacts of climate change (such as socio-economic shocks, the impact of disasters) and
2. Their standard of living is uplifted
