AMPLIFY Girls is a network of 40 community-driven organizations across five countries in East and Southern Africa. Our Mission is to amplify their voices, work, and impact as they build adolescent girls' agency.
Our History
AMPLIFY Girls was imagined through a thought partnership by Komera and the Antelope Foundation about the importance of localized development and the urgent need to drive resources and power to community-driven organizions
In January of 2018, Komera and Antelope convened 18 diverse CDOs – who implement a multitude of programmatic approaches to drive change in their communities. Although diverse in nature, they all shared a common purpose – to improve outcomes for adolescent girls. These organizations discussed the importance of community-driven planning and how working collaboratively could upend development narratives and provide an alternative to traditional scale. Our collective work culminated in the founding of AMPLIFY Girls.

Our partners drive AMPLIFY Girls’ agenda through intentional collaboration and collective decision-making. All stakeholders contribute to the continued evolution of AMPLIFY Girls and benefit from the work we do collectively.
