The ICRC helps people affected by armed conflict and other violence throughout the world. We do everything we can to protect their lives and dignity and to relieve their suffering, often with our National Red Cross and Red Crescent partners. To this end, we also promote and strengthen international humanitarian law and champion universal humanitarian principles.
Humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality: these seven Fundamental Principles provide the ethical, operational and institutional framework for the work of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC is always looking for professionals in these areas: medicine and health care, forensics, engineering, water and habitat, agronomy, veterinary medicine, logistics, supply-chain management, economic security and relief, finance, IT, HR, humanitarian law and mine clearance. We also look for people with military or police experience and for interpreters in up to 20 languages. We have more than 20,000 staff, in over 100 countries, helping people affected by armed conflict or other violence.
Working abroad for the ICRC can be challenging, but it is also extremely rewarding. You will see the direct impact of your skills and efforts, while also learning from a diverse, multicultural team.
