The Korea Institute for Development Strategy, KDS, was founded with a unique mission for international development. The primary purpose of KDS is to conduct research and provide professional consultancy services on various issues of national development.

To actively engage in and contribute to global poverty reduction initiatives through technical cooperation with developing nations in formulating and implementing development policies by performing the following three main activities:        

• Conducting research in areas of poverty reduction and sustainable economic development
• Conducting professional consultancy services on various developmental issues (e.g., macroeconomic plans, rural development, HRD, SME promotion etc.)
• Providing Training services to public officials of developing nations
