Webinar for the Green Climate Fund Internship Program 2026

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) Internship Programme offers an exceptional opportunity for students and recent graduates from all academic backgrounds to gain hands-on experience at the world’s largest climate fund. Open to applicants of all nationalities—with a strong encouragement for qualified candidates from developing countries—this programme is designed to nurture the next generation of global climate and development leaders.

GCF interns are talented, motivated individuals with skills relevant to the Fund’s mission and operations. Interns receive a monthly stipend of USD 1,600 (net) and free comprehensive global health insurance, as well as paid leave, sick days, and holidays. Throughout the programme, they are immersed in meaningful, impactful work while receiving guidance, mentorship, and professional development within a dynamic, multicultural environment.

The internship is offered for an initial six-month period, with the possibility of a six-month extension contingent upon satisfactory performance. All internships are based at GCF headquarters in Songdo, South Korea. For international interns, round-trip airfare is provided.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must:

• Be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme, or be a recent graduate; (For certain positions Bachelor's Degree is eligible to apply)
• Have academic experience in a field relevant to the Fund’s work;
• Excellent English proficiency.
