The programmes 


UN YOUNG LEADERS TRAINING PROGRAMME 

UNITAR is therefore delighted to offer online training programme in Geneva specifically designed for the global youth. It will offer participants the chance to gain first-hand experience of the United Nations and will provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to fully unfold their potential as global leaders. 

The Young Leaders Training Programme is open to all actors related to international affairs wishing to take on leadership roles in their respective environment and to build up knowledge and skills related to the UN and International Geneva. 

Participants can include university students, high school students and other aspiring young leaders of similar background. Junior professionals from public and private sector and senior officials who are young at heart are equally welcome to apply.

UN IMMERSION PROGRAMME 

During the upcoming year, UNITAR is delighted to deliver more 5-day field visits to Geneva. We will offer participants the chance to fully immerse themselves into the host city of the main UN offices and thereby gain first-hand experience of the United Nations.  

The UN Immersion Programme to Geneva serves to provide an overview of the United Nations. It will help participants build solid ground knowledge of themes and topics in international affairs, deliver training in core diplomatic skills, and offer activities with Geneva-based agencies.

UN THE HAGUE IMMERSION PROGRAMME 

This Year, UNITAR is delighted to deliver its next editions of the UN Immersion Programme to the Hague, Netherlands. It will offer participants the chance to fully immerse themselves into the city of peace and justice and thereby gain first-hand experience of the United Nations.   

The programme serves to provide an overview of the UN and its legal mechanisms in the city of peace and justice. It will help participants build solid ground knowledge of topics in international affairs, deliver training in core diplomatic skills, and offer activities with the following The Hague-based agencies. 

UNITAR HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL TRAINING PROGRAMME 

This course will run in parallel to the real UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and aims at providing participants with in-depth knowledge on human rights and the functioning of the UN`s key body to promote them. 

In line with UNITAR's mandate, this programme aspires to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in the areas of human rights and international affairs. This will empower them to take on leadership roles in their respective environments and thereby continue to promote the respect for human rights in the world.

MASTER IN PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW

UNITAR is delighted to offer the Master’s Programme in Public International Law (Master of Laws (LL.M.)., in cooperation with Sigmund Freud University Vienna (SFU). This new graduate programme will combine SFU`s academic strength with UNITAR´s practical focus and will be implemented on-campus in Vienna, or online, for one year. 

The programme aims at deepening students’ knowledge and skills in international law and provides direct insights into the activities of the United Nations and other international organizations. Apart from the legal qualifications, the joint Master's offers a direct connection to the UN and its agencies.
