You will be reporting to the Specialist for supervision. You will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process to support the integration of adolescent development and participation in programmes/projects within the Country Programme. You will be responsible for preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to support the development and formulation of the adolescent development and participation programmes/projects within the Country Programme.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have the below requirement:

Education:

  • A university degree in one of the following fields is required: anthropology, psychology, sociology, education, or another relevant technical field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in adolescent development related areas is required.
  • Experience in programmes focusing on adolescents and youth skilling and development to promote their socio-economic empowerment is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in developing work plans, budget management, and M&E of adolescent and youth skilling and development programmes is considered as an asset.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
