Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

Travel: Up to 20% of the time both in development and fragile contexts.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $97,000.00

The Job

World Vision is looking for a Program Manager to provide oversight and management of a portfolio of privately funded programs, act as a regional engagement manager for the MEER (Middle East and Eastern Europe) region, and provide project management for system and process improvements.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Provide management oversight and monitoring of a portfolio of privately funded programs, many of which are multi-sector. (70% of time)

o Ensure that projects are managed effectively through appropriate, timely and detailed communication with appropriate internal teams and relevant stakeholders regarding major issues and successes related to the project. Coordinate with appropriate staff and leadership to encourage and facilitate the documentation of promising practices and lessons learned.

o Conduct appropriate and useful field visits to assist the office, ensuring communication and coordination with appropriate staff members.

o Provide support to acquisition activities, including the pre-positioning for follow-on opportunities and review of proposal drafts in order to provide historical knowledge and content from program management experience.

  • Support the MEER region in public and private grant acquisition, including: donor cultivation, communicating WVUS sector priorities, socializing the MEER strategy within WVUS key stakeholders, identify any National Office capacity building needed to successfully acquire and manage grants. (15% of time)
  • Provide the RMC Sr. Director with project management support on process and system improvements that benefit RMC and RDU. (15% of time)

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years).

· In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience; 6-7 years of experience, preferred.

· Work in international relief and development required.

· Previous work in a developing country is a plus.

· Direct experience managing large grants from US Government agencies, institutional foundations or major individuals preferred.

· Proven experience effectively managing large projects and successful resolution of implementation challenges.

· Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement.

· Broad sector knowledge and/or field experience in one or more of the following areas of: Child Protection; Monitoring and Evaluation; Education; HIV-AIDS; Mother and Child Health; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Agriculture; Economic Development; and/or Micro-finance.

· Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range & Benefits:

  • WVUS Pay Grade Level: 225
  • The full salary range for this position is $75,705.93 - $119,412.45
  • The estimated hiring range is $80,000.00 - $97,000.00
  • This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Washington D.C. office. A different range may apply based on your work location.
