Context

Bangladesh's ambitious journey towards realizing the Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041, culminating in achieving High-Income Country (HIC) status, will be significantly accelerated through youth empowerment nationwide. Futurenation, a visionary movement to create economic opportunities for all and redefine the economical trajectory of Bangladesh, strives to empower the youth, especially women, by providing them with ample employment prospects and fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem, while being committed to ensure that no one is left behind in the journey towards economic prosperity. The mission is to enable relevant government institutions and connect with industry actors to accelerate economic opportunities through upskilling & enablement for the country's millions of women and youth. Futurenation aims to cultivate a conducive investment climate and foster a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem, transforming the country's population dividend into the key driving force of the economy. The core objective of Futurenation is to equip individuals with the essential skillsets, providing them with access to meaningful employment opportunities and empowering them to embark on entrepreneurial endeavors.

Task description

To that end, we are seeking to collaborate with Online Volunteers who will play key role in delivering online teaching to empower and equip Bangladeshi youth with Japanese language skills. This youth upskilling engagement will enable young people in Bangladesh, to have more economic opportunities as key driving force of the economy in Bangladesh. Specifically, Online volunteers will support in teaching N5 level of Japanese language to the youth of Bangladesh. Powered by advanced technology and an elaborate syllabus, Online Volunteers will virtually engage with the youth on a real time basis and perform the tasks of teaching/demonstrating the pre- planned topics and concepts. They extensively use online teaching resources, including N5 level course outline that is provided to them. TASKS 1) Facilitate live and interactive Teaching Engaging with students in real-time, facilitating discussions, and providing explanations as needed. 2) Assist students with language comprehension, pronunciation, and vocabulary 3) Deliver lessons effectively in a virtual classroom setting using online teaching platforms and digital resources. This includes familiarity with video conferencing tools, interactive whiteboards, and other educational technology resources. LEARNERS PROGRESS DOCUMENTATION 1. Monitoring Progress: The volunteers may need to monitor the progress of each student or group of students throughout the 2. Providing Feedback: Volunteers may be requested to provide feedback on the effectiveness of the course materials, teaching methods, and overall learning experience. This feedback can be used to make improvements and adjustments to future iterations of the program. DURATION & TEACHING MATERIALS Online Volunteers will connect to a digital classroom and conduct live, interactive classes for 1/1.5 hours every week. A minimum commitment of 12 weeks is expected from each Online Volunteer. Lesson materials will be provided. Online Volunteers are also welcomed to create their own lesson materials if they have experiences in doing so. The selected Online Volunteers need to be fluent in Japanese. Successful Online Volunteers applicants will need to participate in an Online Induction for further details on the assignment and the expected contribution/deliverables from this role. SPECIAL NOTICE: This is an unpaid assignment. However, a certificate would be provided at the end of your assignment. The task will be fully virtual.
