Global Information Management Officer

Permanent contract beginning as soon as possible

The total salary package for this position is £42,928 (approx. $54,300 USD) including all allowances

About the role:

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Information Management, the Global Information Management Officer will provide support to successfully roll-out MAG’s ESRI-based operational Management Information System (OMIS) in targeted countries. Working in a dynamic team, the position will provide guidance and support to IM/GIS staff in MAG’s global programmes, while overseeing adherence to standards and quality of data collected

About you:

You will have experience in developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) systems. You will have advanced skills and knowledge in IM systems and GIS applications. Ideally, you will have experience working overseas in the international aid or development sector, in a conflict / post conflict environment, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 

About the Programme Information Management (PIM) unit:

The Global Information Management Officer operates within the PIM unit. The PIM unit was established in the second semester of 2023 and integrated into the Programme Quality Team (PQT) at the global level, under the direction of programmes. The PQT consists of three closely collaborating units: the Standard, Training, and Compliance unit (STCU); the Programme Performance and Learning unit (PPLU); and the PIM unit. The PIM unit is undergoing expansion, increasing from 2 staff members in 2023 to 8 to 10 individuals in 2024, coinciding with the establishment of an IM hub in Amman, Jordan.
