The expert will be responsible for designing e-learning materials for preschool and primary school professionals, preparing them in adequate formats and uploading at the Learning Passport platforms, provision of technical support to preschools for using LP for planning, implementation and monitoring of internal professional development, and support to administration of online training.

To contribute to ensuring continuity and smooth transition from preschool to primary school, more than 3,000 primary school teachers and expert associates participated at the online training “On the Join Learning Path” developed and implemented jointly by professionals from pre- and primary schools, while preschool principals, heads of municipal boards of primary school principals and education advisers discussed these topics on horizontal learning events. Capacities for change management have been addressed through trainings of expert associates and horizontal learning of preschool principals and education advisers. Throughout the implementation, the Capacity Building Programme has been monitored in accordance with the Monitoring Framework agreed with the Ministry of Education, informing the next steps.

Through this consultancy, further support will be provided to enhance professional development using the blended approach through design of new e-learning materials and support to administration of online trainings.

Work Assignment Overview:

The expert will be responsible for designing e-learning materials for preschool and primary school professionals, preparing them in adequate formats and uploading at the Learning Passport platforms, provision of technical support to preschools for using LP for planning, implementation and monitoring of internal professional development, and support to administration of online training.

Duration of the assignment: April – August 2024 (part-time, remote)

Task description:

  1. Design new e-learning materials for supporting professional development of preschool and primary school professionals to ensure continuity of support to children and families in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, ECEC PIU and UNICEF, and upload them on the Learning Passport platform.
  2. Administer the online trainings for pre- and primary school professionals.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • University degree in Education, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Five or more years of working experience with Moodle in development and maintaining of online trainings.
  • Proven working experience with using educational digital tools such as Mentimeter, Padlet, Concept board, Google questionnaires and similar.
  • Relevant work experience with education institutions and/or databases related to the education sector.
  • Experience with developing and/or maintaining a Continued Learning Platform for Educators.
  • Familiarity with the pre- and primary school curriculum.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines through excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Fluency in Serbian and good knowledge of English.
