Overview of position

Role objectives

In coordination with WFP M&E, program and CTG's Kabul management and field team leaders, the M&E Officer will perform the following duties under this assignment:

-The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant serves as liaison with Team Leader to ensure that continuity of M&E training and methodology for monitoring activity requirements is consistent across the TPM.

-The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant facilitates the quality control of the data collection by the Field Monitors.

-The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant facilitates communication between Field Monitors and Team Leaders on the data collection and quality assurance.

-This individual ensures quality standards are adhered to and that plans are accompanied with clarity on how M&E shall be performed.

-The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will coordinate through the Team Leader and  to ensure the checklists are uploaded in the dashboard appropriately and staff carry correct questionnaire in their phones.

-Provide feedback to the Team Leader on quality data and support Team Leader for managing capacity building programs for the field staff.

-Additionally, the M&E Assistant will act as the resident subject matter expert in the office for all quality data collection through the field staff.

-Act as a TL in the absence of the incumbents

-Lead the process of reviewing process monitoring forms to ensure timely and quality submission of reports and the concerned TLs on a periodic basis.

-Track all reports of missions are submitted timely and in case of any mission immediately report to the relevant TL.

-Gather pre- and post-review data of reports and share the main areas requiring changes to the concerned TL.

-Support TL in preparing sample size, writing the final report, and entering data of the data collection process, including BNFs spot check, exclusion error

-Act as a gender focal point, hold meetings with female colleagues and share the female colleague’s recommendation with the concerned TL for management consideration and follow-up.
