ABOUTTHEPROGRAM

TheLearningandMigrationProgram(LAMP)workswithchildrenatriskofdistressseasonal migration by facilitating their access to seasonal hostels, quality education opportunities, while also trainingschoolteachers,andempoweringcommunitiesontheRighttoEducationAct(2009). Technical partnershipswithState Governments haveprovided the opportunitytoreplicatesimilar modelsacrossothermigrationaffectedstates.Sinceitsinceptionin2004,LAMPhasimpacted 1.35millionchildrenatriskofdistressseasonalmigrationthroughaccesstoqualityeducation opportunities;andsteered5,238villagesacross17StatesandUnionTerritoriesacrossIndiato eliminateobstaclestoqualityeducation.

KEYROLESsRESPONSIBILITIES

AstheCenterCoordinator,youwillberesponsiblefortheday-to-dayoperationsofalearning center dedicated to providing quality education and holistic well-being to underprivileged children. You will leverage yourextensive experience in managing educational centersandfostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.

KeyResponsibilities:

1. CenterManagement:

  • Overseetheoveralloperationsoftheassignedcenter,ensuringsmoothand efficient functioning.
  • ManageandmaintainmultipleLearningResourceCenters(LRCs)withinthe center,ensuringtheyarewell-equippedandconducivetoeffectivelearning.
  • Manage assets and consumables effectively, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper utilization.

2. ChildDevelopment&Well-being:

  • Implementstrategiestocreateasafe,secure,andchild-friendlyenvironmentthat prioritizes well-being and protection.
  • Foster positivediscipline andacultureofrespectwithinthecenter.
  • Workcloselywitheducatorstoensuretheholisticdevelopmentofchildren, addressingtheiracademic,social,andemotionalneeds.

3. CommunityEngagement&Enrollment:

  • Develop and implement strategies for community mobilization to increase awarenessabouttheprogramandencourageenrollment.
  • Buildstrongandcollaborativerelationshipswithcommunityleaders,parents,and stakeholders.
  • Conductoutreachactivitiestoensuremaximumparticipationfromthetarget community.

4. Reporting&Documentation:

  • Maintaincomprehensiverecordsofcenteractivities,includingattendance, progress reports, and resource utilization.
  • Prepareregularreportstotrackthecenter'sperformanceandimpact. 

REQUIREDKEYSKILLS,QUALIFICATIONsEXPERIENCE:

  • Minimumbachelor’sdegreeineducation,SocialWork,EarlyChildhoodDevelopment, orarelatedfield.
  • At least 3 years ofexperienceinsuccessfully managing aneducational centercatering to underprivileged children.
  • Demonstratedexperienceincreatingasafeandnurturingenvironmentthatprioritizes child protection and well-being.
  • Provenabilitytodevelopandimplementpositivedisciplinestrategies.
  • Strongunderstandingofchilddevelopmentprinciplesandbestpracticesineducation.
  • Excellent communicationand interpersonalskills, with the ability to build rapport with children,parents,andcommunitymembersfromdiversebackgrounds.
  • Strongorganizationalandtimemanagementskillswiththeabilitytoprioritizeand managemultipletaskseffectively.
  • Financialacumenandexperienceinmanagingcenterassetsandconsumables.
  • FluencyinEnglishandHindiis amust.
