Context

We are looking for a proactive candidate who is strong in data analysis & data quality review, data & information management, reporting with analytical products, and data visualization tools. This will contribute to making data-driven decisions, generating evidence, and strengthening WFP’s ability to communicate internally and externally on its work, leading to the enhancement of WFP’s programs. The direct supervisor of the UN Volunteer will be the Head of RAM (Research, Assessment, and Monitoring) and will be working under the overall supervision of the Deputy Country Director in the day-to-day work. The UN Volunteer needs to be able to communicate well in English while knowledge of Spanish will add value.

Task description

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Research, Assessment and Monitoring Unit, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: 1.Participate in the analysis and description of data flow and local and corpo-rate database relationships and create/update management dashboards (Excel, Tableau, PBi). 2.Support in sharing and disseminating information products to relevant ac-tors (internal and external). 3.As part of a team the UN Volunteer will provide technical support and ca-pacity building to research, assessment, and monitoring staff, to enhance data analytics and insights (SPSS, Tableau, PBi). 4.To support research, assessment, and monitoring staff to ensure that standard Information Management procedures and templates are fol-lowed to drive the quality, consistency, and standardization of information management and performance reporting across WFP. 5.Assist in collating, analysing, and communicating the ‘Essential Elements of Information pertaining to the operational environment and available hu-man, financial, and physical assets to facilitate 6.Collaborate with counterparts internally and with other UN agencies to en-sure consistency in humanitarian information and to complement WFP analysis and information. 7.Contribute to identifying Corporate Performance Reporting Improvements.
