1. Project Background

AIIB's Office of the Treasurer (TRE) is responsible for funding Bank operations, managing capital and debt-funded liquidity and offering financing solutions to its loan beneficiaries. All AIIB debt is issued under its Sustainable Development Bond Framework and AIIB has committed to publishing an annual impact report to assist investors, and other stakeholders, in understanding the projects financed by the debt issued. The Consultant will work for the Funding team to develop AIIB’s Sustainable Development Bond Impact Report (“Impact Report”) and will be responsible for preparing and managing the production of the Impact Report, including liaising with internal departments in order to deliver the Impact Report.

2. Objectives of the Assignment

The Treasury Consultant, Sustainability Reporting will be responsible for (i) preparing the timeline for the production of the Impact Report with stakeholders, (ii) collecting all the relevant information for the Impact Report, (iii) design the Impact Report, (iv) present the Impact Report for approval at relevant committees, (v) work with relevant teams on artwork/design and final production, and (vi) make recommendations for future improvements to the Impact Report (including data collection and policies). The role will involve close collaboration with key stakeholders both internally and, where relevant, externally.

4. Consultancy Output / Deliverables

Deliverables will include to: - Prepare and maintain the project timeline - Actively reach out and engage with relevant stakeholders across departments in AIIB as well as selected investors / advisors - Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather the information for the Impact Report - Design content based upon existing impact metrics approved by Investment Operations along with the ability to expand the content of the report as AIIB’s data collection matures - Write the Impact Report - Present the Impact Report to relevant internal committees for approval - Work with the Communications department to design the layout and graphics of the report - Establish process for data gathering, to enable easy data collection in future years - Recommend improvements for future reports - Evaluate alternatives for leveraging technology to reach ESG investors - Develop a seminar or workshop for the Annual Meeting based on the Impact Report or ESG investing, if needed - Other tasks as assigned

The consultant will be requested to work from Beijing during the engagement. However, a work from home arrangement will be considered if need arises.

Qualification Requirement

Requirements include: - Minimum 7 years of relevant experience - Understanding of sustainability and climate change, and familiarity with ongoing global developments in this area - Familiarity with and knowledge of Climate Finance and the joint MDB Common Approach to Measuring Climate Results - Previous experience in AIIB, or another MDB, with deep knowledge of projects and policies - Knowledge of investor preferences around impact reporting - Self-starting individual with initiative who can build working relationships across teams - Experience with Microsoft Office suite - Fluent in oral and written English
