For every child, the right to education
Madagascar faces significant challenges in ensuring access to quality education for all children, particularly in rural and disadvantaged areas. UNICEF Madagascar works closely with government and partners to strengthen education systems, improve learning outcomes, and promote equity. This role supports these efforts by ensuring effective programme implementation and financial monitoring.
How can you make a difference?
- Support the development and processing of Programme Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) and cash transfers in line with HACT procedures.
- Monitor programme budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations.
- Track distribution of supplies and conduct spot checks on partner projects.
- Compile and analyze data to support reporting and decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in capacity-building activities for partners.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to administration, finance, or programme management
- Work Experience: At least six years of administrative, financial, or clerical work experience. Prior experience in programme support functions is an asset. Experience in a UN system agency is desirable.
- Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, ability to work with diverse teams, and proficiency in MS Office and UNICEF systems (e.g., VISION).
- Language Requirements: Fluency in French is required; knowledge of English and Malagasy is an asset.

- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency contexts.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF.
