UNICEF Indonesia is looking for a Partnerships Specialist (Head of High Value Partnerships) who will lead the PFP Partnerships Team, with the mission to deepen collaboration with key private sector stakeholders like companies, foundations, HNWI, or business networks. This includes fundraising as well as non-financial engagement modalities, including influencing industry standards and regulations. UNICEF Indonesia is increasingly relying on funds raised within Indonesia to fund its programmes for children, the fundraising part is therefore crucial to this role and is expected to bring the team to achieve the ambitious fundraising targets. At the same time, the private sector can do very impactful things to maximise its positive impact on children, support UNICEF’s programmatic vision, and protect children/s rights.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships, the Partnerships Specialist leads the PFP Partnerships Team, with the mission to deepen collaboration with key private sector stakeholders like companies, foundations, HNWI, or business networks. This includes fundraising as well as non-financial engagement modalities, including influencing industry standards and regulations. How can you make a difference? `
The Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for the following key functions:
1. Ensure the Partnerships Team’s activities as well as any other outreach by UNICEF colleagues to private sector partners are coordinated, and strategically contribute to fundraising and programmatic targets.
2. Lead the Partnerships team in its work to engage partners across Corporate, Foundation and HNWI partners
3. Seek and promote new partnerships, work with UNICEF colleagues within UNICEF Indonesia, Regionally and/or Globally to identify funding opportunities, and broker agreements with relevant private sector partners.
4. Make sure all partnerships discussions happen in full compliance with UNICEF’s due diligence criteria.
5. Provide strategic, logistical and programmatic support to senior management and other UNICEF staff in corporate engagement and interaction with assigned partners.
6. Develop and maintain deep knowledge and familiarity with current and prospective partners and relevant stakeholders, contributing to a database of key contacts and to UNICEF’s base of knowledge.
7. Expand UNICEF’s network of key interlocutors to build stronger relationships between UNICEF and key-decision makers.
8. Develop and implement annual work plans and targets.
9. Identify and pursue opportunities for fundraising, engagement, policy influence and collaboration with the private sector, including on how to anticipate and respond to partners’ concerns and priorities, ensure that UNICEF’s interests, perspectives, and knowledge are taken into account in relevant policy and institutional processes, and ensure that they are fully aware of UNICEF’s perspectives, policies, priorities and capabilities. Contribute to the development and management of initiatives for high-level outreach, including for UNICEF’s Senior Management.
10. Contribute to the development of new partnership and resource mobilization practices and approaches by formulating recommendations for action based on on-going monitoring, analyzing current trends within designated partners and formulating recommendations for strategy approaches and message development.
11. Develop initiatives to enhance UNICEF’s visibility and influence with the private sector. Analyses the current environment and trends and formulates recommendations for strategic approaches and message development. Work closely with UNICEF’s colleagues to ensure that outreach is strongly grounded in the experience and insights of the programmes that UNICEF’s supports.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the success of the team, including guiding, training, and coaching short-term staff, including interns and consultants.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: An advanced degree* in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, International Development, or any other relevant technical field.
- Work Experience: At least five (5) years of professional experience in professional partnerships management and successful team leadership.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
(* A first level university degree (Bachelor's) in any relevant field (as identified above), in conjunction with seven (7) years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Desirables:
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
- Business development experience in a commercial and/or non-profit setting
- Experience working in an international organization
- B2B marketing experience.
