The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. We began operations in Beijing in 2016 and have since grown to 111 approved members worldwide. We are capitalized at USD100 billion and AAA-rated by the major international credit rating agencies. Collaborating with partners, AIIB meets clients’ needs by unlocking new capital and investing in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled, and promotes regional connectivity.
The internship will support the Office of the Controller (CTL) across different areas for CTL’s digital transformation work plan. Main focuses are below aspects:
The Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) Sandbox is an automation initiative designed to enhance the efficiency and value-added capabilities of internal control over financial reporting. The project has already been deployed across several workstreams, enabling automation of multiple control testing processes and significantly improving testing efficiency and accuracy. The intern will have the opportunity to explore and apply new technologies and tools to further enhance the functionality of the ICFR Sandbox and contribute to its continued development and innovation. In addition, the intern will support other digitalization initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of internal documentation and testing processes within the CTL Internal Control team.
In parallel, the intern will work with the Financial and Data Management Team on a range of Data Analytics and AI initiatives. This includes hands-on exposure to financial data management, data quality enhancement, and analytics solutions that support CTL’s ongoing modernization efforts.
Overall, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in internal control automation, financial data management, data analytics, and process improvement within a multilateral development bank setting. The ideal candidate should possess coding skills, analytical capability, and a keen interest in digital innovation.
