According to the 2023-2027 Country Programme Document structured private sector fundraising activities are one of the core roles of UNICEF Croatia and Country Office has been continuously integrating its programmatic, fundraising and communication efforts. Within pledge activities throughout 2017-2022 Programme, Face-to-Face fundraising has been identified as a central technique for pledge acquisition and therefore it is continued in the 2023-2027 Programme Cycle.

Scope of Work:
In your role as F2F Fundraising Team Leader, under the supervision of the Fundraising Associate, you will take part in the following fundraising activities:
- Representing UNICEF, its vision and mission in a professional manner
- Mentoring and supporting existing and new fundraisers in the field
- Participation in the education process of new team members
- Administrative support to Face-to-Face Fundraising project within the office
- Recruitment of regular donors (conducting F2F fundraising activities) targeted at 50 % of working time
- Conveying the message of UNICEF program activities
- Communicating the importance of sustainable funding through the private sector (regular donors) for program implementation and its positive impact on organizational costs
- Continuous research and updating of knowledge through UNICEF website, social networking platforms, newsletters and through attendance at Team meetings
- Collecting sensitive donor information and handling of same with the highest regard for confidentiality and information security
- Adhering to work schedule and timely delivery and handover of all paperwork (timesheets, pledge forms, donor inquiries, etc.) to the Office
- Following instructions and procedures on how work is to be delivered; all relevant information must be reported and communicated to the Office
- If a Team Leader is selected for a mobile team project, he/she needs to obtain the expected norm of the mobile team (recruitment of a minimum 0.2 regular donor in 1 hour). Team Leader conduct during official travel is expected to be highly professional and in line with organizational values and to lead the Fundraiser team in the same fashion.
- Assistance in optimization and improvement plan of processes and activities defined by the management and implementation of agreed changes
- General support to fundraising activities as needed
- One F2F Fundraising Team Leader should manage up to 8 F2F Fundraisers

- High school diploma, with a minimum of 1 year of work experience in Face-to-Face Fundraising
- Understanding of UNICEF brand and general knowledge of UNICEF activities
- Understanding marketing with ethical approach
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Approachable, outgoing, resourceful
- Eagerness to learn
- Fluency in Croatian and active knowledge of English

Duration of assignment: Throughout 2026.
Monthly Fee Calculation: Candidates will be paid based on the tasks performed and number of acquired pledge donors / signed pledge forms and the quality of pledge donors, focused on donor age and the average amount of donation and based on the supervisor’s evaluation. Payments will be made in local currency directly to the bank account.
Travel: Travel outside of duty station is planned through mobile teams in bigger cities where we have arranged monthly visits for conducting F2F fundraising activities. If travel occurs, all supporting travel documentation needs to be provided to the Office. For travel, the consultant is expected to use the most economic mode of transportation to comply with UNICEF’s general policy of cost-effective agency.

For this specific service, UNICEF will offer UNOPS Local Individual Contractor Agreement that includes benefits and entitlements such as leave entitlements and medical insurance, excluding pension fund contributions.
