SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
This post is an excellent developmental opportunity for an e-learning specialist specializing in the most advanced online training techniques. In 2018, IGLC users will complete more than 15,000 courses.
The INTERPOL Global Learning Centre (IGLC) is an electronic web-based platform allowing a wide online distribution of police training resources aimed at facilitating learning opportunities for law enforcement communities around the world.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, INTERPOL Global Academy, the E-learning Administrator acts – within the team based in Lyon - as a support to INTERPOL e-learning capacity by developing distance learning resources and supporting the management of the platform activities.
The main activities to support IGLC are:
- The management of the e learning platform and its communities of users
- The development of new online resources.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES
Duty 1/ Mission 1
Assist in the development and management of IGLC, including policy development, statistics, training resources and IGLC updates
Duty 2/ Mission 2
Develop distance learning resources with light authoring tools
Duty 3/ Mission 3
Support the delivery of webinars
Duty 4/ Mission 4
Manage the user access to e-learning resources through secured web sites, mobile devices and apps
Duty 5/ Mission 5
Along with the e-learning team, promote internally and externally (196 member countries) the Learning Management System (LMS). Manage all IGLC users and member countries requests such as the access to IGLC, certificates 7,000 from Law Enforcement Agencies, 2,000 from National Central Bureaus and 1,000 from INTERPOL.
Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Education and qualification required:
- Degree in police, IT, administration or related discipline
- Good knowledge of training and e-learning development or administration tools
Experience required:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in training, ideally training at distance
- Experience in e-learning development and web-content management is a strong asset.
Languages:
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills are mandatory. A working knowledge of Arabic, French and/or Spanish would be a strong additional asset.
Abilities required:
- Solid presentation, communication and facilitation skills, both written and oral.
- Be able to manage the Adobe creative suite, video edition software, and graphic design aptitudes.
- Results driven and achievement-oriented with a pro-active attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, and to work well under pressure.
- Proven ability to develop and to maintain good working relationships with all parties within INTERPOL as well as outside.
- Digital literacy (intermediate to advanced).
