The Principal Finance Officer, Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting will supervise AIIB’s financial accounting and reporting, particularly in financial statements, management reports, and project initiatives of complex accounting and reporting matters. The individual will be involved in various financial analysis functions and system innovation programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the financial accounting and reporting unit of the Controller’s Office, set up the overall team objective, develop and mentor team members, and foster a collaborative culture in the team.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant standards, and ensure timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other units and departments to ensure integrated financial reporting and data management. Engage with external auditors, and facilitate audits.
- Perform various financial report analysis, and provide financial data to support the Bank’s critical business decisions.
- Supervise key accounting and reporting project initiatives.
- Build task forces across departments and cross-functional teams.
- Align with the chief accountants of peer multilateral development banks and iternational financial institutions to address accounting and reporting common of practices and issues when applicable.
- Participate in IT system-related projects and process improvements.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience working in an international bank and/or large organization.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in accounting and/or finance. A chartered accountant (CA) or certified public accountant (CPA) designation from a reputable and internationally recognized institution would be an advantage.
- Solid GAAP knowledge, specifically IFRS or USGAAP, and experience working with financial statements and management reporting.
- Strategic problem solver with sound knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong financial analysis skills. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player who can communicate to achieve results.
- Outstanding written and verbal English communication and writing skills.
