UNICEF Lebanon is looking for a qualified consultant to lead the development of the End-of-Year Child Protection Analysis Report 2025. The consultant will support the Child Protection sub-sector, under the coordination of UNICEF and the Child Protection Working Group (CPWG), in producing a high-quality, analytical report that assesses sector performance, analyzes trends, identifies gaps and priority needs, and captures key achievements, lessons learned, and community feedback. Using a mixed-methods approach, the consultant will conduct data analysis, stakeholder consultations, and a review of existing documentation to generate actionable recommendations that inform future planning, coordination, and advocacy efforts in child protection.

Lebanon’s Child Protection programme operates within a complex humanitarian and recovery context marked by economic crisis, displacement, and heightened risks for children. Led by UNICEF and the Child Protection Working Group (CPWG), the programme delivers integrated interventions such as case management, psychosocial support, and alternative care, while strengthening child protection systems and promoting community engagement. The End-of-Year Child Protection Analysis Report supports evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning to better respond to the evolving needs of children in Lebanon.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
- Advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in social sciences, child protection, international development, humanitarian studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in child protection, research, or humanitarian analysis is required.
- Demonstrate experience in conducting sectoral or thematic analysis reports, evaluations, or situation analyses in humanitarian or development contexts is required.
- Experience in data analysis and triangulation, including quantitative and qualitative data sources is required.
- Strong research and analytical skills is required.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills, with ability to translate complex data into clear narratives. Spoken Arabic language is a must.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, including engagement with multiple partners is required.
- Strong coordination and communication skills is required.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and validate findings through consultations is required.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical research standards is required.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines is required.
Assets:
