 Major responsibilities:

Donor Acquisition Strategy Support and Campaign Coordination for Execution

  • Contribute to the development of donor acquisition strategies on new donor acquisition that align with UNICEF’s mission and goals,
  • Assist in planning and coordinating to execute donor acquisition campaigns to engage potential donors effectively.
  • Coordinate to execute testing plans to build insights and optimise campaigns.

Campaign Performance Monitoring and Donor Research

  • Monitor campaign performance to evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition strategies against KPIs and targets.
  • Track campaign budgets (including media spend).
  • Research and identify potential target audiences to expand UNICEF's donor base.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and Individual Giving team to align donor acquisition efforts with broader marketing strategies, including brand and retention initiatives.
  • As required, manage relationships and projects with external agencies (such as creative and fundraising agencies).

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Support the development of investment plans and business cases as required.
  • Provide technical expertise in donor acquisition tools and techniques. ·

Minimum requirements:

Education requirement:
A first level university degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required. Additional training in a related field is an asset.

Experience required:

  • A minimum of one year of progressively responsible work experience in fundraising, with a focus on donor acquisition, and a proven track record of successful donor acquisition initiatives.
  • Experience in a similar industry; experience in similar mission-driven or customer acquisition fields (e.g., commercial marketing, digital advertising, subscription models) is an asset.
  • Experience working with and managing external vendors or agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery, cost efficiency, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of at least three key acquisition channels – DRTV, Paid Digital, Email, Face-to-Face, Telemarketing, Out-of-Home, Direct Mail – with Digital being essential. Experience in, and knowledge of, the country context is an asset. 
  • Experience in A/B testing and performance optimization for fundraising or sales campaigns.
  • Exposure to the private sector and cross-sector partnerships is desirable.
  • International fundraising experience is an asset. 
  • Previous managerial experience is an asset.
  • Proactive approach with a growth mindset. 

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in Thai and English is required (written and spoken). (A valid TOEIC score of at least 855: Listening and Reading section is required.)
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset

  • Proven ability to support effective long-term strategic fundraising plans. 
  • Proven ability to support implementation of clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies.
