Purpose of Assignment: 

Develop the national action plan on adolescent health and support the International Consultant in developing the SRMNCAH-N NSP 2026–2030 and related action plans by providing national data, coordination, facilitation, drafting support in close collaboration with UNICEF, and School Health, Adolescent Health and other departments of MoH.

Scope of Work:

National consultant will develop the national action plan on adolescent health and support the Development of National Strategic Plan (NSP) for Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition in Myanmar. The national consultant under this assignment will assist the international consultant (technical experts) and primarily focus on adolescent health (AH). National consultant on Adolescent Health will also need to closely work with the other national consultant who will primarily focus on MRH and CHD. Below is overview of indicative workplan assignment/tasks.

  • Support desk review and situational analysis in coordination with the International Consultant.
  • Facilitate national and subnational stakeholder engagement activities and provide national inputs for drafting national action plan on adolescent health (2026 2030).
  • Assist in validation workshops and finalization of national action plan on adolescent health.

  • Minimum requirements:(Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge/Expertise/Skills)
  • Education:
    • A minimum of advanced university degree/Master’s degree in public health/ Epidemiology or other relevant social sciences.
  • Years of Experience/ Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:
    • A minimum of three years of experience of relevant professional work experience in adolescent health or any RMNCAH programme implementation.
  • Language Requirements:
    • Fluency in English and Myanmar language
  • Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:
    • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Desirables:
    • Previous UN experience, INGOs experience on adolescent health in Myanmar.
