UNICEF has been present in Sudan since 1952, delivering long‑term humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding assistance to children and young people, their mothers, families, and communities. How can you make a difference?
The Partnerships Officer (Reporting) supports UNICEF Sudan’s resource mobilisation and accountability efforts by ensuring the timely production, quality assurance, and strategic positioning of donor reports and communication products, demonstrating results and impact for children in a highly complex humanitarian context.
This position is located within the Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation (PRM) team of the UNICEF Sudan Country Office (SCO). Sudan currently manages one of UNICEF’s largest humanitarian appeals globally, approaching one billion USD annually. The PRM team is structured around two core functions: budget management and partnerships.
The Partnership Desk consists of six staff members managing both humanitarian and development funding portfolios. Under the guidance of the Partnerships Specialist (Humanitarian Portfolio), the Partnerships Officer will play a central role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all donor reporting for the Sudan Country Programme in Sudan. Some of the team is outposted to Nairobi, Kenya but this position will be based in Khartoum, Sudan.
You will work closely with the Partnerships Specialist to manage, steward, and strengthen the humanitarian funding portfolio, ensuring consistent engagement with donors and full adherence to reporting obligations. You will also lead the production and quality assurance of UNICEF Sudan’s Humanitarian Situation Reports (SitReps), coordinating with programme sections, field offices, the Regional Office (RO), and Headquarters (HQ). In addition, you will take a lead role in coordinating the preparation of the Sudan Country Office Annual Report, working closely with the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) section and other relevant teams.
Key functional responsibilities include:
- Leading the production and quality assurance of SitReps and donor reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with UNICEF and donor standards.
- Maintaining and tracking all donor reporting requirements and deadlines, ensuring full compliance and timely submissions.
- Compiling and editing narrative and results inputs from programme sections and field offices into coherent, donor‑ready reports.
- Supporting proposal development and funding documentation, contributing to resource mobilization efforts when required.
- Maintaining reporting archives and institutional memory, ensuring continuity and accessibility of key documents.
- Delivering capacity building on reporting and results articulation, strengthening internal reporting quality across sections and field offices.
- Developing communication and advocacy materials, such as briefing notes, presentations, funding cases, and human‑interest stories.
- Supporting donor visibility compliance, including branding requirements, documentation, and usage of visual assets.

- Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in social sciences, international development/relations, communications and any other related fields.
- Work Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience at national and/or international level.
- Skills:
