- Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.  

Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost. 

Please note INTERPOL does not establish or endorse internship agreements with universities or academic institutions. Internship arrangements and communication are made solely between INTERPOL and the individual selected for the internship.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Through this internship, the intern will gain experience in a broad range of Human Resources areas:

  • Learn about recruitment processes, tools and systems;
  • Improve his/her ability in prioritizing and managing tasks;
  • Gain exposure to international recruitment practices;
  • Gain appreciation of human resources management, particularly in an international environment.

Primary duties

Under the close supervision and guidance of HR management, the intern will:

  • Support team meetings through agenda development, minutes taking, and action item tracking;
  • Support recruitment processes with publication of vacancies, candidate screenings, arrangement of testing and interview sessions;
  • Contribute to special projects and HR initiatives as assigned;
  • Contribute innovative ideas and best practices to HR processes and procedures;
  • Manage correspondence, inboxes, and follow-ups for HR-related matters;
  • Assist in special projects and HR initiatives related to recruitment;
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required by HR management.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries.
  • Have attained the legal age in the country of nationality.

Training / Education required

  • Be enrolled in a, or have graduated from, a post­secondary accredited academic institution within the past one year on the date of submission of their application in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, or related fields of study.

Languages

  • Professional fluency in English is required – B2 or greater.
  • Proficiency in French will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of a third INTERPOL official language (Arabic or Spanish) would be considered an asset.

Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required.
  • Knowledge with Power BI or Tableau would be considered an asset.

Abilities required

  • Strong organizational abilities, time management skills and ability to prioritize and provide assistance on multiple projects.
  • Excellent research, analytical, reporting and communication skills.
  • Demostrated interest in the HR domain.
  • Attention to details and willingness to learn. 
  • Demostrated ability to communicate clearly and affectively. 
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as independently on porjects and tasks.
  • Excellent writing skills.

If you are considered at a further stage of the selection process (interview) we advise you to familiarize yourself with the procedure for requesting such documentation in the concerned countries so that, if accepted, your arrival to the Organization is not unnecessarily delayed.
