POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Lead CABEI's institutional representation in the assigned country, promoting the Bank's positioning as a strategic partner for sustainable development in the countries we serve. The position aims to generate and facilitate financing, investment, cooperation and business opportunities; strengthen relationships with public and private actors; support the materialization of institutional pipeline operations; promote business participation in initiatives financed by the Bank; and ensure effective coordination with CABEI's substantive areas to contribute to the fulfillment of the Bank's Institutional Strategy and business model.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT: To reside in Spain.
Bachelor's or Engineering with a Master's degree or equivalent or a Bachelor's degree or Engineering with at least two years of additional experience to that required by the position.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY THE JOB:
- Experience in financing, investment and international cooperation.
- Experience in strategic alliance management and institutional relations.
- Experience in liaison with public agencies, the private sector and investors.
- Experience in International Financial Institutions.
- Experience in promoting business opportunities and business participation.
- Development and implementation of financial and cooperation schemes including co-financing structures, financial blending (desirable - not mandatory).
- Mobilization of resources linked to climate change (desirable - not mandatory).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum professional experience: 11 years.
FUNCTIONS:
- Identify, evaluate and facilitate opportunities for financing, cooperation, investment, capital markets and strategic alliances from the country of representation and/or Europe, coordinating with GERFIN and the substantive areas of the Bank to contribute to the mobilization of resources and business generation.
- To support the identification, promotion and maturation of initiatives that can be incorporated into the institutional pipeline, facilitating the approach with potential funders, cooperating partners and strategic partners until their conversion into active operations.
- Promote the participation of eligible companies from the country of representation in CABEI-financed procurement processes, through dissemination actions, business outreach, business roundtables and coordination with the corresponding operational areas.
- Implement institutional positioning actions through participation in strategic forums, high-level events, official missions and spaces for dialogue with governmental, business, financial and academic actors, strengthening CABEI's visibility and recognition.
- Coordinate on an ongoing basis with GERPAIS, GERFIN and other substantive dependencies of the Bank the identification, monitoring and materialization of strategic opportunities, ensuring effective articulation and alignment with institutional objective.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the structure and mechanisms of Official Development Assistance from the Kingdom of Spain.
- Knowledge of international relations and presentation to investors (Road shows).
- Knowledge of international finance.
- Knowledge of fundraising and development banking activities.
- Knowledge of capital markets, especially European ones.
- Knowledge of the management of funds linked to climate change.
