Senior HR Business Partner – Compensation & Benefits The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner with a background in Compensation and Benefits and a passion for people.

The position: Join a team of Business Partners that will report to the Head of People and Organization Development (POD), and work closely with the POD global team and senior leaders to refine our cash compensation programs that will ensure competitive compensation and attract and retain talent whilemaintaining cost effectiveness and compliance. As a Senior Business Partner,you will providecomprehensive and in-depthexpertiseto internal clients, andcontributes to business and talent strategy, policy formulation and implementation of people management agenda. The Role:

  • Contributes to the organizational POD strategy including succession planning, recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, and organizational development with internal clients and senior leaders, to achieve business objectives
  • Support and advise managers and staff in solving HR issues and help them to interpret and apply HR policies and practices in their day to day work
  • Manages complex and challenging functional POD projects and implements initiatives
  • Provides advise to business leaders on pay decisions, promotions and retention strategies for existing staff, and policy or guideline interpretation
  • Develop and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation policies, practices, processes, procedure and guidelines and identify financial costs impacts
  • Ensure market data analysis and recommendations are aligned with compensation strategy and direction
  • Create and implement compensation communication for managers and staff
  • Liaises with managers to understand recruitment needs and develop sourcing strategies
  • Manage staff grievances and all other employee relations issue

  • Maintain highest level of Integrity and confidentiality.Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; Industrial Engineering. Master/ Specialization in compensation and benefits is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in related fields
  • Experience on Human Resources law and policies (Recruitment and Selection, Talent Management)
  • Global compensation experience preferred.
  • Desirable experience in the analysis, design/creation and administration of compensation and/or benefit programs
  • In-depth understanding of all aspects of rewards management
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy required
  • Analytical, results-oriented, self-directed and have excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to balance client interests/needs with organizational values, guidelines and practices
  • Proficient on Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative team working skills
  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and proven ability to handle confidential information is essential for success in this role.

Conditions: This position is local thus limited to Peruvian nationals and permanent residents. Employment contract will be for a one-year term (with a 3-month probation period).
