POSITION SUMMARY

The Audit Associate assists in assignments in the domain of risk management and internal audit, reporting to the Audit Specialist/Head of Internal Audit. The Audit Associate assists in the planning, fieldwork and reporting.

PURPOSE

  • Assists the Audit Specialist/Head of Internal Audit in conducting internal audit related assignments, either desk-based at GGGI HQ (Seoul) or out of office at GGGI sites outside Republic of Korea.
  • Assists the Audit Specialist/Head of Internal Audit in the assignment process from the planning stage to presentation of the final deliverables to the Director General, and the Management and Programme Sub Committee of the Council.

 

ENGAGEMENT

  • Utilizes knowledge of risk and auditing, and provides guidance to colleagues.
  • Assists in preparing tailored plans for assignments, based on a sound understanding of the objectives and scope of the assignment.
  • Liaises with the auditee and relevant staff members during the assignments.
  • Assists in on-site meetings with the auditee.

 

DELIVERY

  • Supports the Audit Specialist/Head of Internal Audit in performing the annual risk-based audit plans and other internal audit related engagements as assigned.
  • Produces workpapers for each assignment in line with the Office of Internal Audit and Integrity’s expectations and to agreed quality standards.
  • Be accountable for assignment deadlines and be proactive in taking actions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develops expertise in specific aspects of the organization in order to perform the internal audit duties effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable educational institution.
  • A minimum of two years of practical experience in planning and conducting audit assignments. Audit experience in the public sector is highly desirable.
  • A professional qualification (CPA, CA, or CIA) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Sound technical and analytical skills expected of the X6 grade.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally.
