EAC-BKK Global Resources Management (GRM)

In 2014 EAC-BKK was established to serve as Asia-Pacific hub to build enterprise applications for the United Nations Secretariat. EAC-BKK is in charge of several enterprise applications.

The mission of Global Resources Management is to provide shared resources for the projects by taking a full advantage of Bangkok’s local and international human capitals and communities.

Functional Responsibilities

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationships: This position is located in, EAC-Bangkok. Under the overall supervision of UNOPS Senior Programme Manager, the incumbent reports to the Substantive Learning lead. Functional responsibility for this profile rests with the OICT.

Responsibilities: Within delegated authority, the incumbent is responsible for the following duties:

•           Carries out feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems as a team manager of the substantive Learning team.

•           Assigns tasks to the team members and monitors the results.

•           Develop change requests for ILearn LMS.

•           Develop web service integrations between ILearn LMS and the portal

•           Design and develop data conversions for bringing in legacy systems into the LMS portal and the Oracle PeopleSoft learning solution

•           Organizes and performs unit and integrated testing, designing and utilizing test bases; assists users in acceptance testing.

•           Produces various documentations required as part of the implementation.

•           Develop custom reports for the various business requirements.

•           Supports the migration requests from the development to the Production environment.

•           Researches, analyzes and evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations for their deployment.

•           Provides guidance to, and supervise, team members.

•           Develops terms of reference documentation for team members.

•           Perform other works related duties as required.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:      
A university degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is required. An advanced degree in the related field is desirable.

Experience:   
At least four years of progressively responsible experience in information systems analysis and programming, systems administration and maintenance, software development, technical writing or other related area is required. With a relevant master’s degree, at least two years is required.

A minimum of two years of experience in implementation and upgrade of Oracle PeopleSoft system of version 9.0 and above is required.

A minimum of two years of hands-on technical experience in PeopleTool and PeopleCode is required.

A minimum of one year of hands on technical experience in PeopleSoft ELM is required.

A minimum of one year of hands on technical experience in Oracle SQL or any database version is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of web service integration is highly desirable.

Language:      
Fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.

Contract duration: 1 Year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and funds availability.
