We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Reporting Officer who is willing to undertake key tasks as part of the programme quality team. The Senior MEL Reporting Officer will contribute to internal and external reporting, ensuring high-quality, well-written and timely reports meeting donor and DRC requirements; this can include internal programme updates.

With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
 
About the job 
 
Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Reporting Officer annexes for donor reports and external policy pieces. The position will be expected to carry out regular preliminary analysis of field data collected by the Monitoring and Evaluation teams, and assist as requested with any other Information Management-related tasks. 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Conduct regular preliminary analysis of field data collected by the Monitoring and Evaluation teams, to produce internal reports at key project milestones on a regular basis, with oversight from the MEL Manager; this can include next-day exit interview analysis, monthly PSS scoring, monthly referral evaluations, dialogue table evaluations, cfw feedback etc.  
• Assist with preparing powerpoints based on data findings, that will be shared with programme teams for internal learning purposes; 
• Weekly data quality review and cleaning logbook, to assist the MEL Field Coordinator in ensuring high quality of data collection and facilitate continuous learning withing the MEL team; 
• Assist IM field coordinator with data extraction from Kobo and beneficiary database, for ad hoc programmatic requests; 
• Assist IM field coordinator with creating, coding and testing of survey/questionnaires and monitoring tools on Kobo, in adherence to DRC’s SOPs and standards; 
• Input data into grant tracking tools to track progresses of project implementation when needed; 
• Produce overview reports of progress against indicators, as needed for the MEL Manager to incorporate into reporting and other written communications; 
• Conduct desk review to identify information gaps in areas of interest; 
• Assist the MEL Field Coordinator with strengthening the capacity of field staff by supporting trainings and providing follow up support in report writing, analysisand other topics as needed; 
• Field visits as necessary to suport reporting duties; 
• Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the MEL Manager; 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Required qualifications/ experience 
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, humanities, development studies or other relevant fields. 
• Strong writing skills in English. 
• Solid analytical skills; statistical analysis using Excel and SPSS, and qualitative analysis. 
• Familiarity with Open Data Kit coding and Kobo software highly desirable. 
• An understanding of humanitarian issues in Jordan and the region. 
• Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines. 
• Flexibility with task delegation, and able to prioritise effectively. 
• Be ready to travel to project sites in Jordan. 
• Identify priority activities and assignments; adjust priorities as required.  
• Ability to be proactive, and work with minimal supervision. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, be cultural sensitive to work in a multi-cultural environment and interact directly with displacement-affected populations. 
• Flexible, enthusiastic and willingness to learn from others. 
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and multi-disciplinary environment. 
• Have computer, web and HTML skills.

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a six month contract including three month as probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work as soon as possible and be willing and able to work in Amman –Jordan.
