UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, is looking for a National Education Officer/Data Analysis (NO-2) to be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and support our team by interpreting data that will feed into the programmatic decisions. We are looking for a qualified and committed professional who has: • sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, with particular experience in quantitative research methods an asset; • demonstrated experience in delivering social sector research and analysis, with experience in the education sector welcome; • interest in using research and analysis to provide evidence to support policymaking and strategy development in social sectors, including education; • excellent analytical writing and communication skills; • degree and/or other relevant qualifications related to community development or social sector research If you possess these skills and qualifications, are a quick learner, and wish to work in a dynamic, supportive and inclusive team of dedicated education professionals you are strongly encouraged to apply. How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of Education Specialist, the Officer provides professional technical with the focus on supporting the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education intervention of the UNICEF Education Programme. The Officer also provides operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programs/projects within the Country Program from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks to facilitate program development, implementation, program progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

  • University Degree in education, psychology, sociology or other social science field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in education and related areas at the international and/or in a developing country is required. Relevant experience in education and related areas, program/project development and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required.  Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset
