The Division of Human Resources (DHR) would like to engage an intern to support the LEAD Team, providing support to the top 200+ leaders within UNICEF. The LEAD team is responsible for coordinating talent strategy, leadership development, and supporting the senior-most UNICEF leaders and managers as they deliver results for children.

The UNICEF Internship Programme offers qualified and eligible students at both Headquarters (HQ) and Country Offices (CO) the unique opportunity to acquire direct practical experience in UNICEF's work and the United Nations system under the direct supervision of experienced UNICEF staff.

Purpose of the internship:

The Division of Human Resources (DHR) would like to engage an intern to support the LEAD Team, providing support to the top 200+ leaders within UNICEF. The LEAD team is responsible for coordinating talent strategy, leadership development, and supporting the senior-most UNICEF leaders and managers as they deliver results for children.

Under the supervision of the LEAD team, the intern will assist the team by:

  • analyzing evaluation data for current programs
  • researching potential new offerings/programs
  • assisting with talent management 

Start date: September 2017

Duration: The team is seeking to engage a qualified intern for a period of three months, ideally the length of the fall semester (mid-September thru mid-December). The selected candidate will be expected to work two days in the office and one day remotely on a weekly basis. UNICEF will grant a stipend to the selected intern.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program with a focus in Human Resources, Leadership Development, or International Affairs.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
