The Programme Officer (Data & Evidence) SJD is required to support the Planning and Monitoring Office, NOB, in situation monitoring and national and provincial surveys

Under the general supervision of the Planning & Monitoring Officer supports data and evidence generation, data analysis and progress reporting, in support of evidence-based programming and monitoring. To make a difference you will be accountable for the following key duties & tasks:

  • Under the supervision of the Planning and Monitoring Officer, supports the implementation of Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys in Pakistan in line with MICS global protocols. Supports training and capacity development activities. Provides technical support to FO PME colleagues in all stages of MICS implementation. Support secondary analysis and the development of information and communication products to inform decision making i.e. equity profiles. 

  • Support CO programme sections in analyzing and reviewing relevant data from surveys and administrative systems in support of planning, monitoring and reporting activities. 

  • Assists the Planning and Monitoring Officer in supporting national surveys such as the National Nutrition Survey, Demographic and Health Survey, as and when required, in support of UNICEF’s programmatic objectives. 

  • Provide support for preparing and regularly updating the Situation Analysis. Support the maintenance of databases of social indicators on the situation of children and women to inform programme planning and updating the situation analysis for the CCA. 

  • Assist in supporting country office planning, programme review meetings, mid-year and annual reviews with data and evidence as required.

 To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

Education:

University degree in economics, development planning, statistics or related technical field.  Good knowledge of computer usage and application of appropriate statistical software packages. Competency in the use and application of financial management & data/performance management software.

Experience:

 One to two years progressively responsible experience in database management, planning monitoring, reviewing and reporting

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and another local language of the duty station is an asset.
