Overall purpose of the role:
Under the supervision of the Protection Manager , the CPIMS officer will enter case management field data collected by the child protection team (case workers), and perform the day-to-day management of the inter-agency child protection information management system (IA CP IMS) according to the protocol.
Responsibilities:
- Enter accurately and in a timely manner all case management forms into the inter-agency child protection database
- Ensure efficient data capture processes and generate fortnightly reports on case load and monitoring statistics for the Protection Team Leader or other partners when required.
- Review case load and monitoring statistics and setting targets for case follow-ups and closure and identifying gaps as appropriate.
- Ensure the database is backed-up regularly.
- Maintain an appropriate filling system of received, open and closed cases as received from field sites and from other partners.
- Implement the Data Protection Policy and appropriate standards for confidentiality of the information on the children
- Participate in any other activities as may be assigned to you by the supervisor from time to time
Experience and technical competencies:
- Experience with data base and information management systems
- Experience of implementing Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS)
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in child protection program.
- Experience of working with Non-Governmental organizations
- Good communication skills and ability to conduct training
- Understanding of gender, protection and human rights
- Ability to represent the organization
Education:
B.A/B.SC in Information Management Systems, Statistics or related field
