The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grants Accountant with in our Business Resources and Solutions department. The role is required temporarily to support the Grants Finance Remediation project until end of June 2018. The role will support the Grants Finance Manager with collating information, determining accuracy, and processing corrections as agreed with Grant Finance Manager. In this role your focus will be to provide ‘clean’ financial grant data for year end and to enable regular monitoring.

You will provide second line support to Grants Finance Officers as they support the Regional Offices (ROs), Country Offices (Cos) and National Offices (NOs) efforts to financially close grants and liquidate partner advances. Provide guidance and training in financial systems, as well as develop and evolve existing reports and tools to support the process.

The Individual

Qualified accountant or part qualified accountant with strong financial systems expertise. You will need extensive demonstrated experience of the financial aspects of grant management from institutional donors in an INGO.

Expert command of Excel and multi-currency accounting packages is necessary, as well as demonstrable knowledge of how financial accounting and grant accounting interact.

Strong written and spoken English (French or Spanish is an added advantage)

Location: International Headquarters, Woking (approximately 23 minutes from London Waterloo)

Type of Role: Full time Fixed term contract ending 30 June 2018

Reports to: Grants Finance Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
