SCA Background

The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) has been working in Afghanistan since 1982, presently managing development programmes concerning Health, Education, Rural Livelihoods and Community Governance, with a total annual budget of roughly USD 40 million. The total number of staff is around 5,500. During the last 10 years SCA has undertaken a change process moving from a primarily humanitarian service delivery approach towards more of a developmental role, putting increasing emphasis on capacity development, rights-based programming and outcome orientation. The mission of SCA is to empower individuals, communities and local organizations, primarily in rural areas and with particular focus on women, girls, boys and vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, so that they may participate fully in society and influence their own development. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Graduated from 12th grade
  • Previous experience in the related field
  • English language is desirable
  • Punctual and having of good attitude
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the related field
  • English language is an asset
  • Fluency in local languages both (Dari & Pashto)
  • Being an Afghan citizen.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To feed the children as per their ages and according to the nursery approved schedule
  • On time preparation of foods for children on daily basis.
  • Good coordination with mothers regarding their children.
  • Keep the nursery clean.
  • To ensure babies clothes changing on daily basis.
  • To take care of children in the hygiene matters
  • Develop a teaching plan for children like writing, reading, listening according to their age.
  • Fully responsible for nursery related equipments, stationery and other things.
  • Keep the children clean, calm and in the limited area.
  • Teach the basic alphabets and drawing to the children.
  • Any other relevant task assigned by the line manager.
