Mission:

Mission of Finance & Controlling department is to enable transparency, accountability as well as the efficient and proper use of funds in the Federation. The department provides services to Member Associations especially policies, tools, consulting, training and monitoring and provides advice and consultation to other functional areas and departments of the Federation in regards to reporting, liquidity planning and budgeting. Furthermore Finance & Controlling coordinates the allocation of programmes to funding partners and co-ordinate and execute the flow of funds between these funding partners. Additionally, the department manages financial risks of the Federation on an on-going basis, focusing on accountability in the use of resources and sustainability in the federation-wide funding model.

In such context the Finance & Controlling Coordinator contributes to the overall mission of Finance & Controlling (FC) Department by ensuring that processes and guidelines are understood and applied successfully in her/his field of responsibility. For that purpose, s/he receives internal guidance and trainings for the respective processes and tasks. In addition, information is prepared and recommendations are jointly developed with FC Advisors for management, legal bodies and Promoting and Supporting Associations (PSAs) for decision making.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

·         Provide support for the following areas:

o   Linking financial needs of programmes and available international funds

o   Liquidity planning and coordination of transfers

o   Steering, controlling and reporting

o   Giving input to the federation planning process

·         Coordination and monitoring of the global budgeting process

·         Provide Management and legal bodies with information for decision taking

Requirements:

·Master Degree in Economic Sciences preferably in the area financial controlling or Bachelor Degree with additional experience in Finance & Controlling

·         Excellent communication and organisational skills with service-oriented mind-set

·         Sound knowledge of accounting and financial controlling

·         Excellent analytical and reporting skills

·         Fluent in German and English; Spanish is an asset

·         Strong IT skills - Excel, Word and Outlook

·         Relevant professional experience in the subject area desirable

·         Candidates must hold a valid Austrian working permit or a have EU citizenship
