NRC in the Islamic Republic in Iran

NRC started operations in Iran in 2012. We currently deliver humanitarian assistance in 6 provinces in the sectors of Education, Food Security and livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter construction, as well as Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA). We co-lead several technical inter-agency working groups and provide capacity building to humanitarian partners in country. Next to our programs, NRC Iran also built an advocacy unit to develop joint messages and initiatives amongst INGOs to improve rights of the displaced.

Following several recent breakthroughs, NRC Iran is scaling up substantially its activities in support of the Government of Iran efforts towards an estimated 3,6 million Afghans residing in country and is expanding its programme unit.

About the position: Finance Coordinator (Budget) for NRC Iran

NRC is now seeking a dedicated and experienced team leader with interest in Budget and Financial fields to efficiently support the expanding programme of NRC in Iran. The Finance Coordinator will support the Finance Manager with specific budget monitoring responsibilities in ensuring the best use of NRC financial resources.

Task Description

1. Implement and enhance the budget monitoring routines in collaboration with Budget Holders;
2. Develop and implement adapted internal control procedures;
3. Develop financial and budget training materials for various stakeholders;
4. Contribute to development of routine for support costs management based on NRC fair-share model;
5. Monitor the implementation of Finance related SOPs.
6. Contribute to enhancement of compliance scores of NRC Iran;
7. Contribute to development of NRC anti-corruption policies;

Qualifications

• Experienced team leader interested in budget and finance fields
• Proven knowledge and skills in coordinating, planning, analyzing and solution finding
• Experienced in development of procedures and writing skills for SOP and guideline preparations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duty Station: Tehran – Country Office

Contract duration/until: 31^st of December 2018 (with possibility of extension)
