Outreach and Partnerships Analyst

Functional Responsibilities

The incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the UNOPS Country Director and Representative in the preparation and facilitation of the development and implementation of UNOPS outreach and partnership strategy in Haiti.
  • Support the UNOPS Country Director and Representative by attending meetings, compiling materials, and assisting in the preparation of project documents and proposals, as requested. Including maintaining minutes and records of action points from key stakeholder meetings.
  • Participate, record and follow-up discussions and recommendations of the Haiti Project Engagement Committee for all new projects, and track the relevant engagement approvals.
  • Support the coverage of United Nations Country Team (UNCT) interagency working groups and task-forces with a view of building inter-agency synergies and joint initiatives.
  • Contribute to the analysis, mapping and knowledge management of project development opportunities with partners in Haiti such as UN, multilateral development banks, bilateral donors, foundations, NGOs, academia, think tanks and private sector.
  • Participate in partnerships meetings with potential partners and ensure their systematic and timely follow-up, and keep and update a central registry of all projects in the pipeline.
  • Support the UNOPS Country Director and Representative in the creation of internal guidance and systematization of knowledge packages related to specific partners of projects with a view of improving the quality of UNOPS work.
  • Support the preparation of all relevant outreach and communication material, including relevant research required to produce communication products.
  • Support office corporate reporting requirements as needed.
  • Provide as needed support to the Programme team as required including for, high level meetings, conferences and perform other functions and duties as reasonably could be expected for fulfilling a partnerships and outreach role in Haiti.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:  

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, International Development, Political Science, Communications, International Relations or an infrastructure oriented degree. 
  • A Bachelors degree in combination with two additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Master’s degree. 
  • Certification in project management (Prince 2 or PMP) would be an asset but is not a requirement.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience, such as in outreach and public relations, business development, partnerships, communications, project management and/or coordination, engineering, or other similar fields.
  • International exposure, including in contexts of fragility, and UN experience is highly desirable.
Language:

  • Fluency of English is required 
  • French is highly desirable

The OUTREACH AND PARTNERSHIPS (ANALYST) will work under the direct supervision of the UNOPS Country Director and Representative. The Outreach and Partnerships Analyst will support the Haiti Office, in the fulfilment of their corporate and representational roles. The ANALYST will work in close collaboration with the Haiti programme and project team. She/he carries out day-to-day work independently in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
