ACCOUNTING ANALYST

The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a proactive and responsible Accounting Analyst with high level of commitment and analytical thinking to update general accounts and financial reports, ensuring that the information is accurate and manageable by the Finance team.

About the role: This position will be based in Lima, Peru, and will report to the Corporate Controller. Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for processing the staff payroll expenses related to time sheets. • Analyze and prepare reports of balance sheet accounts related to employees (Loans, Provisions and accounts payable) and other accounts (Prepayments, Inventory etc). • Support in the recognition of income and analysis of related accounts. • Periodically conduct physical inventory counts of fixed assets and stock items. • Perform other duties as assigned to have reliable information for making the financial statements.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with diploma or specialization in Finance. • At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit environment.

• Knowledge and experience using accounting software packages (ERP preferable). • Experience and knowledge of not-for-profit accounting, as well as being up to date with accounting techniques and trends.

• Knowledge and experiencein the application of IFRS, Budget development and management, Statistical methods and analysis, and Audit and Taxation.

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel.

• Intermediate – advanced English level, written and oral.
