The Position:

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Analyst works under the overall supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Adviser and the daily oversight of the Programme Coordination in Nampula to contribute substantively to the formulation, management and monitoring of UNFPA’s supported programmes/projects in Nampula. He/she works closely with the programme leads and the entire country office team and subnational counterparts to ensure M&E aspects are well internalized and applied.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

Master’s degree in public health, demography, statistics, gender, social development, business administration or other related social science discipline.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Two years’ professional experience in the field of development and population, gender and/or sexual and reproductive health programmes/projects.
  • Proven experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
  • Social science research experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in using office software packages and web-based information management systems.

Languages:

Excellent oral and written communications and editing skills in English and Portuguese required.
