Facilities Manager

Role: To assure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company

Location:  Mumbai

Reporting to: CEO

Key Responsibilities

·         Maintaining and repairing buildings and equipment

·         Ensuring that the lighting, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems are operating properly to provide good working and/or living conditions for occupants

·          Supervising the design and upkeep of the facilities’ grounds and landscaping

·         Updating and maintaining the telecommunications and computer systems

·         Adhering to and improving health and safety standards

·         Planning for and overseeing major renovations and new construction

·         Coordinate on the implementation of new building projects

·         Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols

·         Create a budget for the regular operation of the facility and record expenses for renovations, repairs and maintenance

·         Log progress on building maintenance or renovation projects and assist with general repairs when the need arises

·         Respond to and handle emergency issues promptly, including those related to repairs and maintenance

·         Hiring, managing with vendors and contractors for providing various services including housekeeping, security, drivers, electrician, plumbers, etc. 


Desired Competencies

·         Ability to travel across the SJICC markets PAN India for new and existing locations

·         Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

·         Excellent project management skills

·         Planning and organizational skills

·         Customer service orientation

·         Knowledge of repair and maintenance as they apply to facilities



·         Graduate/Post Graduate in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management

·         8 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role
